With no concrete plan in mind, our fearless adventurer decides to delve into the renowned wine region to the east of Toi. Joining a day trip organized by the hostel, they embark on a wine-tasting extravaganza, sampling a variety of wines from dry whites to sweet dessert wines. The team immerses themselves in the unique winemaking process of Georgia, featuring traditional clay pottery for fermentation that has been a part of the country's heritage for over 8,000 years.
Amidst their wine-fueled escapades, the team visits the historic Bod Monastery complex, steeped in Georgia's rich Christian Orthodox history. They then venture into the town of Sagi, known as the city of love, where they explore the charming cobblestone streets and wooden balconies reflecting the area's 18th-century architecture. The adventure culminates at the oldest winery in the Kahti region, where they indulge in more wine tastings while soaking in the breathtaking views of the surrounding landscape.
As the day draws to a close, the team finds themselves at Grandma's house, a heartwarming finale to their wine-soaked tour. With bellies full of Georgian wine and spirits high, they make their way back to Toi, where the night is far from over. Heading to Fabrica, a bustling spot for bars and restaurants, they revel in the vibrant atmosphere and social interactions, capping off the day's adventures with lively conversations and more wine.
